Tips for raising goldfish

1. Be sure to buy healthy fish

When buying fish, carefully select, before you decide to buy, carefully observe whether it likes swimming and whether there are signs of illness, such as: the eyes are cloudy or the body is sticky and exhaling, it may be sick fish. While buying fish, you may also need some special feed and cleaning tools.

2. Don't rush to change water when you buy it

When the fish are just bought back, it is better to use the same water as the fish tank in the pet store. If you want to change a new tank, it is best to ensure that the fish must be in the tank for 2 weeks (preferably 3 weeks) before changing. Be patient.

3. The position of the fish tank

Place on solid supports (table, viewing support), do not place it near doors and windows or on heating edge to prevent sudden temperature change.

4. Keep the water clean

The nitrite and pH value of water quality are tested regularly by using special testing tools. The imbalance of chemical elements in water is one of the reasons for fish disease. If the water quality is qualified, replace about 20% of the water in the fish tank. After that, the water quality can be tested regularly every 10 days or so, and then the water can be changed.

5. Raise the small fish

Buy some special feed for fish from the pet store and feed the small fish every day. Fish food should be stored in a cool and dry place for no more than 3 months. Every day, the excreta of small fish in the fish tank and the feed that has not been eaten should be cleaned out with a small net. Fish nets should be thoroughly cleaned and reused to avoid potential transmission of infection.

Tips:

(1) Make sure your tank is large enough. If there is more than one fish in the tank, consider changing it to a larger one.

(2) To prevent some fish from jumping out of the tank, you can add a net to the bathtub.

(3) You can also put some decorations in the aquarium, such as water grass or small stones. But pay attention to giving the fish enough space.

(4) Don't let your fish stay in bad water conditions for a long time, or in a more varied lighting environment. Be careful not to leave the fish tank for too long. These adverse effects can reduce the resistance.

(5) Consider what type of fish is suitable for putting together. Don't put fast and powerful fish with slow and weak fish, so that the weak fish eat less, and the bad fish eat too much.
